Crunch goes the clockspring!!

Turned wheel to the right and CRUNCH. Air bag light came on, no cruise control, and worse yet... no steering wheel radio controls.



Thanks to this forum, I knew exactly what it was. Only 9,035 miles on the truck, I haven't had time to get it in on the recall, I will now. Hope the replacement ones are better.

Happened to me last Thursday so drove into the 1st dodge place I saw. They said I could wait for my truck. Took them 4 hrs to fix that thing. Shees glad I decided to go to the movies.

Made and appointment with my 5* and it took about an hour to change. I did not see mine but otheres have said there is a difference between origianal I has replaced under warrantly at 3,000 and this one done on safety recall at 18,000. Mine broke the week before I took it in as I was having problems forcing myself to take it to the dealer

CONGRATULATIONS!, happened to me a few weeks ago, welcome to the club of failed clocksprings.

Mine lasted about about 42k. Lost the cruise one day and the airbag the next.

Mine broke at 300 miles! However it did happen when I was making a max turn into a parking space, don't know if that caused it or not but that is definitely when it happened. Called the dealer that day took it in the next day fixed in 1 hour.
