2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission crunched front end

Just crunched the front end of my 97. Only bent the bumper, both left and right bumper brackets and broke the plastic grill. The plastic insert for the fog lights punctured my evaporator. Got off real easy.
My question is, has anyone fit the sport bumper from 98 and up on the front of the older second gen trucks?

Dunno why nobody has responded, maybe you need a better thread title, something about converting to 1999 sport bumper on 1997 truck.



Anyway, I've seen discussions on this, so I know it's been done. I saw someone who had cut down his stock metal bumper and used it as the bar behind the plastic Sport cover, rather than buy the Sport bar. Maybe you need to look at some of the other Dodge truck forums.
