Thanks, TDR Staff

Possible Northeast TDR dyno day, lets set it up.

OK tim were sorry

Oops. On the 12V I just took off the vacuum line, the lube line and the PS hoses. I pulled out the IC tube to make some room, and then pulled the Vacuum and PS pumps out as a unit. Then I split them outside the truck and did the vacuum pump. No too bad. I do hate those IC boots, though. I did the left side, but I'm waiting for a day I can muster up the patience of a saint to do the right. I got those replacements for Piers. Tough buggers to get on. :{

My PDR boots have been on for 2 years now so they were not easy to get off. Heck just getting them on sucked. Come to find out Hairspry helps ... . but good luck breaking THAT seal :rolleyes:

I'm off to Mass Diesel early Saturday morning for a 1000 mile checkout. I wonder if I should get brave and put a lift pump and 191's in Friday night. If I don't do it right, I'll be toast for Mass Diesel.

Dont be scared we got your back. Whats the worst that can happen, you put your D/V's in upside down? :-laf

Heck, I'm not sure I'd know one was upside down or not. That's why I have the big yellow book. Maybe I'll start my own chapter called the diesl challenged engineers society. :p

Well ya know there are certain requirements to be a member of the PDTR (Polish Diesel Truck Association) :-{}
Maybe thats it :-laf

J, Any luck finding a lift+jack for your transmission?

Yeah, I have a 50-50 shot. Maybe I could put half in one way and the other half in the other way. Ummm, where is a good place to buy some 191's and a lift pump? I'll get them express shipped in the morning. What tools should I bring? Some funky lug nut thingy takes out the delivery valves. I don't have that. Nor do I have metric tube wrenches... heck, I ain't doin' so good. Us diesel challenged engineers have it tough. Any tools like MIG welder or torch or anything needed at the shop? I have stuff like that tucked here and there around the house. I don't use them so much I need them around all the time.

City diesel has them the cheapest. I have the socket. That and a 3/4 wrench and pencil magnet is all that is really needed. Get some new O-rings to go with it also.

Looks like a good price on the pump. I'll call them to see if they have 191's tomorrow. I dunno what those ones on the web page would do. :eek:

If you dont get the cut D/V's from city, here is where I got my 191's.

I won't be around this Friday. We have another picnic at the house for the kids B-Days...

I am hoping to be around Wed and Thrs night cleaning up the van...
