Fitch, with the start of the ISB CM850 engines (03 and up) Cummins cannot use INSITE to communicate with there own ECM. As heard from the Cummins trainer down in Texas a couple of weeks ago. Cummins basically handed the ECM over to Daimler and let them set up there own databus, parameters etc. Talking to him, it seems that Cummins is pretty mad at this since Daimlers main databus is used with the OBDIII or DRBIII. This allows anyone with a scantool and the right know how to go in and change parameters that were once not there.
So, my point is, Cummins will sell you a nonflashed ECM, however, they have no way of flashing your required parameters due to Daimler having a hold on the databus, paramters, etc.
