CTD In A Ford

Does anyone know for sure what Ford (450, 550, 650) you can get a CTD from the factory?

650 and 750. The 450's and 550's only have the PS. I love the 5. 9, but I'd like to have more motor than that in that size of truck.

At work we have a 650 Ford with a 20' flatbed and the 12 valve 5. 9. Loaded with 12,000 lbs I can tell you the truck feels kind of weak in stock form. They won't do anything to void the warrenty on it though. I don't know what gear she has, but it tops out at 70 mph and around 26-2700 rpms.

Why couldnt a fella just order a C & C Ford 550 without an engine period and then put in a CTD?

I have sort of day dreamed about finding a nice 550 crewcab repo with a Western Hauler Bed and a blown-up 'Stroke. Now that would be a horse with a nice Cumm-a-long dropped in!
