CTD vs Ford

Went out to dinner with a few friends. One of my friends has a F250 4 door 4x4, 6 speed, 3. ? rear. On the way home from dinner we where both on the highway around 1am. I was doing about 75mph when he came up to me, well we both pushed the peddled to the floor. when we hit 98mph the ford stayed at 98 and the CTD hit 110mph and still could have went more. That CTD walked past the ford very easey.

Hey, I just did the same with a buddy of mine his pherd just sees tail lights on I-5 south of Redding CA. He thinks I Bombed my truck but... ... ... . it's stock

I'm not so sure about the validity of that race. It looks like a computer vs computer deal where his shut down his fuel at 98 and yours didn't. It you were still side by side at 98 then your computer beat his. COBRAJET any comments?

IMO the only way to race a diesel is uphill pulling a least 10k trailer.

Id be curious to see what happened until 98 mph,like from 75-98. that is a race,what happened until then?his truck hit the governor, there is really no need to go over 98mph in these trucks anyway,although it is fun.

I raced a buddy of mine when my CTD was stock against his stock 2000 Excursion with the PSD. He whupped me pretty soundly from 30 - 80 mph.

We have a 2001 Excursion, and it does pretty good. Since I put the TST plate and governor springs in my Ram, it's a sports car compared to the stock PSD. I see a chip for the PSD in the near future.

Yeah, but I'll bet the guys ego was hurting when he knew he wouldn't break 100, even if the computer shut him down. I know I'd feel pretty lame if my ride wouldn't go over 100.
