A friend of mine ws all proud to show me his snorkle when he added it on his 06.It pulls down the filter minder on a bone stock 06 with afresh element, the designer had no clue how much air flow we need

That is true, but it sucks it down anyway halfway with stock airbox and the new updated Filterelement.

I did a second opening to the airbox that is open most of the Time and can be closed manually, but in Iceland I had it closed all the time, it doesn't realy matter to the enginepower, maybe a little slower spool up of the turbo but fully 28psi Pressure in the same range as with the stock airbox.

So I got mixed feelings about the snorkel but I needed it for Iceland, there are no bridges crossing most rivers so you need to ford them.

The RAM did a great job anyway, like it still like first day.

The picture in calendar is from Iceland, sadly they don't mention it.

What have you done with crankcase, differential, transmission and transfer case vents to keep them above water. Chris

They are all upgraded with rubber hoses up to the engine compartment, close under the bonnet. Including the 48RE.

New Cab finally delivered.

Yeah, the new one ist better in every aspect - except looking cool.
It is a little bigger and has a popup roof with solid walls, we need that option for our winter polar circle tours we do every winter, go beyond 70° North.
Weight is also lighter, better insulation etc.

The old one is for sale, i dont destroy it, it will travel again in the future with a new owner.

Ozy, please link a blog if you keep one for these journeys!

Sure i will so this, but just to warn you, this year is nothing big planned because I need to fabricate the whole interior in my camper.
At the end of the year we start North with it as a first journey. Watch the polar lights - again, my wife is addicted to them.

Project Name of the new box is: Polar Fuchs :)

Mmm, nice update! I'm not sure I like the new box as much as the old one, myself. If I lived closer, I'd be knocking on your door wanting that old one!! I really liked it.... But I'm a big fan of Stainless Steel and quality craftsmanship..... This new one needs some more pictures!! Mounting, interior, planned modifications....

Hey, did you ever get any pictures of the intake you made to go into the cabin area?
