After much thought, I think I'm going the 3 gauge cubbyhole console route. Geno's catalog states "may require modification with gauges other than Autometer".

Has anyone used Isspro gauges in this mount, and if so, what were the modifications necessary? Also, anyone sorry they used this means of mounting the gauges?

I thought about the Westach dual gauge in the SRT 10 pillar and putting the trans temp in the cigarette lighter hole, but the cubbyhole just looks like a factory install.

thanks for any info,

Jerry

Jerry, I mounted three DiPrico gauges in the cubby using the Autometer cubby hole mount. I thought it was very slick. I sit a lttle tall in the saddle and find the top of the gauges are a little clipped from my view. The angle towards me is very good. The DiPrico's lighting leaves a little to be desired during twilight conditions but is otherwise adequate. I bought the SRT-10 pillar mount for an Autometer oil temp gauge and like that a lot. I wish I would have put Autometer's in the cubby instaed of the DiPrico's. But anyhow, the DiPrico's mounted just fine without modification into the cubby mount. I also get no light leakage from around the gauges. Just my . 02.

The issue is with the mounting brackets on the back side, with some brands the brackets need to be modified to work. Just be a little creative and it wil work fine.

I have dpricols in the cubby hole mount. I didn't use the mounting brackets on the back of the gauges. I made one wrap around the body of the gauge with electrical tape, this made an exxtremly tight fit in the holes and it was alot easier than trying to make the brackets work. I've had this setup in my truck over 30k like this and they have never moved in the mount.

Thanks for the replys. This clears up a lot! I had a feeling the issue would be the mounting brackets on the gauges. Most gauges I've seen use a C-shaped bracket that usually fits over 2 threaded studs. You tighten down small nuts on the studs to compress the C-clamp to the back of whatever panel you are mounting the gauges to.

Sounds like just eliminating these C-clamps and using tape around the gauge would allow for mounting of Isspro's or any other brand.

It appears the Isspro's most closely match the Dodge factory gauges, but again, it's just a matter of personal preference.

Thanks again!!

Can anyone post a picture of this? I want to run 5 gauges and am trying to figure out the best place to mount them. TIA Shadrach

Here's mine. Isspro gauges. As I recall, the gauge holes are slightly undersized so you have to enlarge them to fit your gauges.

Other than that, there were no issues at all using the Isspro-supplied hardware to mount them.

Here is picture of the back of mine on the original install.

Here is front after original install.

I later swapped the AC controls with the gauge pod, makes it easier to glance down and see.

I would urge you to reconsider. The Geno's dash top mounting is great because the
gauges are in your driving line of sight, and you don't lose any storage in the console.
I have the Isspro white face gauges there and they match the stock ones in my '07
nicely. I followed Robert Patton's example in the TDR Buyers Guide. You can't beat
Geno's intallation instructions either.
