Cummings & 19.5 Tires

Has anyone changed to the 19. 5 tires on a cummings. Just woundering the advantage for the 3 extra inches. Is the miles increased on a set of tires as mentioned in the TDR magazine?

Tire mileage is increased but your maximum safe speed is SEVERLEY decresed. I cant justify them unless you are doing serious towing all the time.

I don't know how they would work with a Cummings, but there are several people using them with their Cummins powered trucks and don't seem to have much problem.

how so is the safe speed affected? i don't tow much but sure like the looks of the alcoa 19. 5's on my dually. also like to go fast!!! can't i get loprofile tires for them to make theem safer?... . james. .
