Cummings Torqus Maximus

Has anybody tried the Cummings Torqus Maximus ECM with an EZ, or stage II injectors, or fueling box, or whatever? Or will the after market electronics, alone, get the same results? I was wondering if the combination of an EZ and CTM ECM would net more power than the EZ on a stock ECM. And at the same time not void the warrantee. Cummings ECM

I have the Torqus Maximus and I've been running it with DD II injectors and a Powermax3 box. I even ran it with an EZ and the II's and PM3 for a while and it works just fine with everything. It's a great ecm and I like how much smoother the powerband is and the lower torque band is a very nice improvement, however the benefits aren't worth the $800+ bucks if your looking for horsepower.



When I had the EZ on, I swapped the stock and TM ecm's back and fourth to see if there was a difference. The only thing I could tell was the TM was still smoother than the stocker, but other than that you can't tell a power difference since it's only a 10hp/45tq improvement which is hard to notice.

I don't think that the TM is worth the $3000 they want for it. Now it it made 500hp then that would be a different story. You can get more then the same with just an EZ. but remember that adding power somewhere will add. Just not quite worth the money I think.



If you really want a new ECM, wait for the M. A. D. ECM. Do some searches on it, and you will find something to spend money on I think. The only problem with the MAD ECM is the computer-allowed amount of fuel will limit what the ECM should be capple of.



If your looking for a first bomb get an EZ.

Cummings is about right if it made 500 HP however... ... where did the $3,000 figure come from? Speaking of the M. A. D. ecm, what ever happened to that whole thing? There has been -0- about it in over a month?

500 hp ecm i wish...you'd need a turbo, and injectors.

The $3000 is how much they want for the Torques Maxius(TM) isn't it? I can't remember but it some ungodly amount for the small increase.



As for the MAD ECM they had a problem with the celtane rating differences between US and Euro diesel. Yes there is a difference, theirs is way better. But last I heard Marco did get some fuel and is working on it.

No it's not $3000 bucks, they list for about $900 bucks which is still quite a bit for what you get.
