Carfax ???

Should I get out of a Lease?

I went to a dodge dealership today to look at the new 07 models. EVERY SINGLE TRUCK had "CUMMINGS DIESEL" written across the windshield!

Are you sure you weren't at a Ford dealership??? :-laf

There is a local dealer here that has a radio add and the guy doing the commercial says Cummings Diesels also...

You'd think people might take the time to READ THE BADGE!

It would be great if you snapped a picture that included the dealer name and posted it. :)

dealer name /number?

"hey ED, some guy from Michigan called and said we spelled Cummings wrong on them there low oil hemis" :-laf

Go in and tell them you know how to save them some SERIOUS embarassment, but they have to give you a smokin' deal on a new truck! If no deal, then let us know dealer name and location. Probably could work it back up to DC!

sounds like the salesman #@$%! who sold us the wifes '06 ...

"we don't care what modifications you do as long as you don't put an aftermarket intake on ... we had a guy with just an intake and it leaned out the motor so bad it burned up 5 sets of injectors"

You MUST get pics!!
Here is the website of the dealership (barrett dodge, of athens georgia), so if you don't believe me, look at their used vehicle inventory. It even has the truck that I took a picture of. You can't read the writing in their pics, but you can see that it is written exactly as I took the picture! I talked to a salesman about it and made fun of them a little. He said that they'd get it fixed. Well that was weeks ago! And they're still spelled wrong today. I took these pictures a week or so ago.

DAMN! That is sad! I bought my first Dodge/Cummin(g)s there (a 1993 250 4x4), then ordered and bought my 1996 there. Even back then, they had that same writing and that same ignorant misspelling on the diesel trucks' windshields. I bought my 1993 used at a year old in 1994 I can't remember, but I believe it had it spelled "Cummings" too. I have never taken my truck in for ANY work, except for the throttle cable recall on the '96 and they would not just give me the cable and let me put it on. I had to take it in, wait for them to look at it, then schedule an appointment to have it installed and bring it back then. I could have put it on in a few minutes myself, but they would not let me. I do my own service work and have NEVER had a vehicle to a dealer for anything except for that.

The used vehicle guy there is "Shorty" Elrod. I am sure he is the one responsible for the misspellings because he has been there for YEARS.

I bought my 2003 at Childre in Milledgeville. They know how to spell the manufacturer of our great engine's name there! ;) Was a nice buying experience too.

Reminds me of the "diesel tech" at my Dodge dealer who told me how much time he spent at Cummings training.

Thats STILL better than last night the sales manager (chebby dealer) told me the reason that Dodge Cummins USED are so high is the fact that " Dodge BOUGHT Cummins name and to get out of their contract and are now putting Cat in them"

I said "good, now a Dodge diesel will run me over 70 thousand dollars"! :D

I went by there the other day, and they have several new trucks. They all say CUMMINGS across the front glass, and that's after I went inside and told them they spelled it wrong.

Saw a picture in a Four Wheeler mag I have. Someone turned a wrecked '01 or '02 with a 24v in it, and it has decals on the sides of the hood that say "24 valve CUMMING". Not even the "S" on the end either. No doors on it, so no door badges, but how hard is it to get it right off of the valve cover?
