I have seen one installed into a Jeep, and judging by your sig. I would asume your thinking of the same.

He rated the engine weight at about 700lbs. You should be able to get more accurate info directly from Cummins (on-line answers).

That is a project I would love to do! I have wanted to do a 4bt Wrangler for years!

745lb - 785lb Depending on how its equiped acording to cummins

have you thought of the 4bt 3. 3 liter engine it's about 200-250 lbs lighter than the 3. 9 4bt. it's also shorter from the bell housing and shorter top to bottom by about three inches each.

you guys need to hook up with 4BTswaps.com. Plenty of good info, and those swaps have been done on CJ6's & 7's. Most all the info you can think to ask is there, and plenty that you don't even know to ask about. A bunch of really good guys on that forum.

Tempforce What parts are available for the 3. 3L ?? Not many that I know of. The reason most people mess with the 3. 9L's is the parts from the 5. 9L interchange, and there are tons of stuff out there. . some 4bts make huge power ... like over 600 hp etc. not saying you could n't do it with a 3. 3L but there is no backing but yourself and not many afdtermarket or speed parts available etc. . something that can make a endevor not as fun, and cost a lot more $
