I always thought that when they started the CDL program in the '90's, it was to get all the states on the same page. Since I always had a "B" with no restrictions, I never paid too much attention to the other classes. it's quite confusing
I remember seeing 3208's swinging from chainfalls constantly when I was a kid hangin around when my Dad was on the job. Lots of them. The next pupular engine was the GM 8.2 fuel pincher. That was a little better, but once they got with the 6's then they became more reliable.
