In addition to the number of main bearings per cylinder, check out the SIZE of the main bearings in comparison... ..... This stuff keeps pointing in the same direction, don't it

Inconel is exotic stuff. Indeed it is a high-Nickel alloy. They use the stuff for some jet engine turbine components. These are parts operating in an environment where the air temperature is higher than the melting temperature of the metal! Alloys like Inconel were developed to provide more strength at high temperature.
