Cummins badge on dashboard???

ok, today i thought i might be going crazy. the in-dash cummins badge, white cummins letters, with red lettering, turbo diesel underneath of it. i very distinctly remember it illuminating at night with the dash lights. and i remeber hearing a vibration behind that part of the dash one night, so i tapped it and all the sudden it went out, to my recolection. so today i had the dash appart and was looking for the bulb that i swear i broke by tapping. but i cant find anything!!! there is no indication that it is even posssible for the cummins badge to have ever illuminated in the first place!? am i goin crazy here? does anyone's dash light up the cummins sign? or no what im talking about. im am very confused and would love to know the answer to this. thanks

Are you sure the 4x4 indicator bulb is not bouncing around back there? On both of my '93's I went and siliconed them into place so they can not come out. My Cummins deal does not light up... on either truck.

There is a light above the status panel that lights up when the door is opened or can be switched manual... I think it is considered the map light.

yea my 4x4 light is tight, im sure of that. does it stay light all the time even to indicate 2wd? an im sure its not the map light i was seeing. i remeber it illuminating from the rear.

Mine only lights when I go into 4wheel drive.
