Do I have a bad one, or what.



I tried today to get an overflow valve. they told me they did not sell them, only new & rebuilt pumps.



Same thing for delivery valves.



It also took them a good while to find the prefilter screen kit for me, and I GAVE THEM the part number.



Is it just this dealer, or are they all this way ???

I've had great luck with my local Cummins dealer (Cummins NW). Most parts in stock, knowledgeable guys and half the cost of the dealer.

Called them back today with the overflow valve part number, and they said they can get them. They would order it from another local diesel shop and sell it to me, for 85 bucks.



I went to the other diesel shop, and bought it for 60 bucks.





She tried to explain they aren't in the business of selling parts.



I told her, well, I sure won't buy a rebuilt engine for my car just because it needs spark plugs, so why should I buy a new injection pump just cuz it needs an overflow valve ??



She again told me they aren't the business of selling parts. Makes me wonder what business they are in... ... .
