I belive the term "tool" is used to reference that portion of the male anatomy that is located just below the buckle on your belt. . :D Its easier to type "tool" than the word that ends up looking like this **** in a post.

Ok, just NEVER EVER saw the term used that way. And I work with a bunch of foul-mouthed factory guys! Like I say, I'm just a country boy, though a high tech country boy.

Saw the Rescue Sat. night... nice piece!!! Its a lot bigger in person than the picture makes it to be. Jeep had the best display by far, well, except for the Ferrari and Lambro's ( the cars make that display!) Saw the V-10 twin turbo diesel VW also, they had a cut away of the engine... . pretty sweet, but hold on to your n&^s when you shell out the cash, or they'll get those too. If you have a chance to go to the show do it, its a good one this year.

There are a few folks that are confident that the diesel Jeep will be available in about a year or so... .

I think it's a very cool idea... .

How big was it? What could you compare it to in terms of normal everyday SUV's?

It was Hummer "sized", albeit a tad longer. The way they had it displayed, up on a platform on a weird angle, doesn't give you a great perspective... and no touchie feelie, play with buttons, open the hood *sigh*

I like it alot but it looks alot like the new Mercedes SUV I saw in front of the Greensburg Mercedes-Benz dealership. Somebody elses work I think. :(

The H2 is to the H1 as the Chevette is to the Corvette. Marketing genious but the players are little league vs. major league.

While the Jeep Rescue is very very neat... I bet it never shows up. The H1 however exists and I still want one. I almost bought one last year. A 1996 Wagon H1... white... 20,000 on road miles and all for only $36,000. The prices are getting closer :). All I'd need then is a 12 valve Cummins to shove in there and I'd be happy for the rest of my motoring life.

H1's draw more attention than driving around in a Ferrari convertible with your hair on fire!! :D

Snowracer69... I saw on TV sunday where Yokahama built a special street tire for fitment on a 28" rim. The rim looked like a Boyds type billet wheel and the tire was the typical lo-pro performance tread deal. This thing looked so goofy... but someone would use it if they sold it. They said it was too heavy and most performance advantages of good tires were overcome by the shear size and weight.

I'm really glad to see Jeep come out with this and hope it comes out for real.

Some time ago Motor Trend TV did a H2 Hummer story traveling 10000 miles starting in Alaska and going in the tundra accross

North America, down to Florida and back to California via the Rockies I think.

The first thing I said was, they had the wrong engine in the H2. It needed the Cummins 12 valve, no computers etc. The biggest problem encountered during their trip was fuel stops. The 8. 0 Chebey engine did not get any mileage and the fuel tank was small.

With the Cummins it could have run twice as far most likely.

I hope the Jeep talks about range and fuel capacity if it happens.

Every H1 made for the military had a 6. 2 in it, don't know why GM decided not to put the diesel in the H2 or at least offer it as an option, and not sure if it is an option or not.

I loved the part in the video where they are talking about the remote tire pressure control... and the vehicle ride height is changing significantly... and the tire isn't even moving at all.

I think they meant to talk about the adjustable ride height via the hydropneumatic system they talked about using on this vehicle...

"... . staggering 600 ft-lbs of torque!!" Gotta love that quote!!!
