As a favor to the somewhat confused can you recap how this will or will not relate to the 3rd Gen trucks? Will a different ECM work, or are there too many hooks into other electronics to get it to match up?

Bob or Marco,

I have a question I haven't seen answered yet. What are the HP and Torque improvements over stock?

As a side suggestion, maybe this thread should be moved to the second generation forum. It seems to be causing a lot of confusion where it is now. Or at a minimum, maybe a link in the 2nd generation forums should be added pointing to this thread.

To answer your question in the realm of the 3rd gen, the performance enhancement would be awesome. Think of it as combining a TST box, pressure box, and timing box into the ECM. That also means driveability can be much improved and you won't set codes... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... .....

I wish I had more time to devote to this!

Andy

I agree no other product on the market can match the performance of the caTACHER ecm, move on... .

The more time behind the wheel the more the :D

Bob,

Anxious for that 1000 mile hand calc on the fuel mileage report. How many weekends that going to take? :)

Yeah, cmon Bob, it doesn't take more than a week to burn through a tank of fuel! Inquiring minds want to know! Oo. :)

I have no definate numbers yet. I did tow the 10k+ 5 er 317 miles over 2 mountain passes.

But this also includes 100 non towing miles. And most towing at level was at 70 MPH

The 2 passes were one at 3100' and the other at 4100'

combined mileage was 12. 66 mpg

My true test would be 100% towing or 100% normal everyday towing.

And most of this was is 100F temps with air cond. on

so this is still TBD at this time

The driving factor is still #ad
:D

I am 110% happy

I most likely missed it, but after reading through this forum, I'm stlll not sure if I can use the Catcher on a 2004. 5 and if I can, can I purchase any Dodge ECM for programming so that like many of the others I won't have my rig down.

The catcher is only for the 98. 5 to 2002 24 valve trucks ;) this thread took a turn away from the third gen ECM early on and never quite got back on track:D
