Cummins has announced an E Brake removal program for Dodge Ram automatics. Because of their concern for the detrimental effect on the transmission, Cummins Engine company will pay for the removal of Cummins Rambrakes and E Brakes that were installed prior to March 1, 1999. They will also refund the cost of the brake and the installation cost. Customers that installed their own brake are entitled only to parts reimbursement, however the brake will be removed at no charge. For additional information you may call Cummins at 1-800-DIESELS. Thank you for your post. I'm going to move this thread to the "products/accessories" forum, where it's both on-topic, and also likely to reach all those interested in it.

Thanks again!
