I launched with 20lbs of boost with a 2. 1 60 foot time and ET of 16. 362. The tires are GoodYear Dragway special Eagle, aprox size iz 32x16xR15. The rims are 15x10, to get them to fit it took some very minor shaving of the fins on the drum.
Yours is 4wd right? (I can't remember) Use 4wd and launch at 8 to 10 lbs (more then that and they spin) and you'll get a better 60ft. I get alot of 1. 90's and my two best are 1. 81's.
Plus its fun to feel the truck wanna lurch of the line... . not to mention when you are lined up with a Mustang... or other "sports" car.
Then you get to listen to people in the stand... ... "That just can't be" ... . Hehe
I just wouldn't make a habit out of launching at 20psi, I'm sure your transmission will be upset with you.
The first time I was at the track I used 4, but I just dont think it's good for it. The slicks hook up just as good as 4 wheel drive, or almost as good.
Jim- I got the rim at discount tire here in town, they were $44 a rim.
That's a pretty good 60' time considering the power. Also the size of the truck plays into the 60' and the weight. 20lbs sounds like alot of boost to leave the line without spinning.
