Cummins - Hummer

What I have is an aftermarket Hummer knock-off, one of the better ones in my opinion. Purchased it almost 4 years ago with the intention of a 454 gas install running on chevy frame rails and so on. Then I got into Cummins. Like the power and such, so I thought- try it out, hence my current truck (check tag), research all the goodies (big can o' worms), buy a crate Cummins 5. 9 and Dodge platform, ie: frame rails, axles... Now I'm thinking the 8. 3L with goodies. I know it's several thousand more for just the motor. But this is my ultimate project, I've been planning this long I can go longer.



Would people in the know with hummers and the 8. 3 platform sound in on this idea. Even the most mundane comments will be of interest.

there is a member out of Texas that did it about a year ago.



he used a 12valver to aviod the electronics and hassles of it. I think the biggest challenge was teh adapter plates ad stuff for the gear box. and just plain old room under the hood.
