Cummins in a '49/'50 Merc

Pulled over to check out the car, hear it idling- Oo. HOLY SH#! ITS GOT A CUMMINS!!! Owner says he gets 30 mpg. Stock motor, VERY clean install. Battery went dead in the camera; those are the only pics I have.

I had two 50's and a 51 Mercury a long time ago. Love those cars and the flat head V8. How can the frame hold up the weight of the Cummins and what kind of transmission did they put in it?

i count 6 injection lines on a ve pump. . mummn probably snagged a 1st gen with a 727 or 518 trans froma 2wd truck. . looks awesome.....

That fully rocks. I have been thinking about something like this for a while now... It would be nice to have about any of the 40's era cars with the cummins, turned up with twins. A nice old boat thats a semi-sleeper.
