Cummins Plant 2013 is a go!!!!

I'm sorry :{ I wasn't trying to offend anyone. I am a Dodge man and a Cummins man, but I do admire "other" vehicles as well. In this case the "other" vehicles would have to be powered by a Cummins, after all we are going to the Cummins plant only not the Dodge plant. When the first Cummins powered Dodge showed up at our shop back in the fall of 88 while everyone was looking at the engine I was underneath the truck looking at the mounts and wondering ' what kind of trans is that?' I have helped lots of customers repower their "other" vehicles, Toyota LandCruiser, Dodge Dakota, Class C & A Dodge motorhomes, Older Dodges, Chebbies and Ferds ( sorry theres those words again ) from the 40's and up, even boats. Then there are the swapping of engine versions into different year Dodges than they were intended for. For example a 96 CTD in a 93 W350, a 98 CTD in an 03 3500. And lets not forget older Crew Cabs :-laf

Just my opinion but I think it would be good for the folks at Cummins to see first hand what other people do with their engines. Shad

Anyone been around the cabins on the lake there at CERALand? Are they ok? They have some vacancy that weekend, and thought about staying there..... only have to bring your own linens... . Or, if you're a sasquatch, your oversized bedroll... .

Well, its hard to answer as the tour encompasses more than just the tour.

Friday is tour day. Arrive at 7 am to CMEP. You are booked solid until 6 PM (plant tour, cummins tech sessions, Q&A session, history seminars, ram ride and drive, Ram presentation, truck show) at which time everyone goes over to CERAland for the Cummins BBQ. Departure time from dinner is normally 11:00 ish PM. Or 1 am if you are me last round. LOL

Now Saturday is normally on the road at 8:00 am to head for the race track. Return time ranges from 3:00PM to some returning at 8:00 PM.

The only day that I can see really working well for you is Thursday. Thursday is a settle in and kinda do what you want to do until evening when the festivities start (at CERAland). But this would be the time for you to see the museum.

Now speaking of, what museum is this?

I got registered, but never got confirmation other than the last pop-up screen... . which I couldn't get to print with my HP POS..... got reservations to stay at CERALand cabins, too... . I think we'll be in late Wed night, and then be rested up for Thursday, and stay through Sunday, as I'm sure we'll be staying late at the track.....

Yeh thats what I'm talking about. I guess I'll have to try and squeeze it in on Thursday. I plan on staying until Mon as well. I think I'll need Sun just to rest up. Then I take the long way home thru Montana, about 2k miles or so. Good thing I get lots of holidays Shad

Hope that I'm not being a pain but... ... Any word about there being a WARREN plant tour again? Missed it the last time and would really like to go if it can be arranged.

Well, I will post this here as I finally have an answer and I have got MANY questions on this.

Sadly, there will NOT be a Warren tour this round. Unfortunately the plant will be down for retooling (due to the new diesels coming on board) so unless we want to watch construction crews, it's a no go.
