Not sure if anyone posted this level of detail on the PalmPilot application from Cummins, still not sure the Dodge ISB can use it.

CUMMINS UNVEILS NEW QUICKCHECK SYSTEM TO INSTANTLY READ AND CAPTURE ENGINE DATA.
COLUMBUS, Ind. (March 16, 2000) - Cummins Engine Co. Inc. today unveiled the
newest innovation in its QuickServe(R) initiative for customer support: the new
QuickCheck system for a Palm(TM) handheld device designed to read and capture
SAE J1587 engine data quickly and conveniently from any electronic diesel
engine.
"Cummins QuickCheck fulfills the QuickServe promise to deliver support whenever
and wherever it's needed by Cummins customers worldwide," said Mike Champlin,
business manager, information and electronics, at Cummins.
"With a price below $250, Cummins QuickCheck is affordable for sales reps,
owner/operators, recreational vehicle owners, maintenance technicians and fleet
owners," he said. "It fits comfortably in a pocket or a palm, so it's more
practical than a laptop computer. And because of its small size, Cummins
QuickCheck is perfect for field use, on-highway, industrial applications - and
more. "
Cummins QuickCheck will be available for SAE J1939 engine data retrieval within
the next 12 months.
Cummins QuickCheck has been designed to operate in conjunction with a Palm
handheld device, which must be purchased separately. Once the Cummins QuickCheck
datalink adapter is plugged into the appropriate vehicle harness, engine data
can be viewed in real time or saved to be downloaded later into a personal
computer. When the Fault Screen is chosen, Cummins QuickCheck will alert the
user to any problems.
With QuickCheck's Parameter Screen, a range of engine functions can be checked
in real time, including engine speed, coolant temperature, boost pressure,
intake manifold temperature, oil pressure, fuel rate, engine load, engine hours,
throttle and output torque.
With QuickCheck's Trip Screen, an operator can download engine data for a
cumulative trip overview, and view data like maximum speed, cruise set, idle
hours, idle fuel, vehicle distance, engine hours, vehicle hours, PTO hours and
fuel used.
In addition, data can be uploaded into a PC-based record of engine use and
performance. For fleet managers collecting data on a number of vehicles, Cummins
QuickCheck can store multiple readouts to download for comparison later.
Cummins QuickCheck consists of a custom datalink adapter, an interface cable and
connector, and the diagnostic software application. The adapter easily snaps
onto a Palm handheld device and can then communicate through the equipment's
six-pin or nine-pin J1587 datalink connector.
Cummins QuickCheck software installs like any other program for a Palm handheld
device.
Cummins QuickCheck will be available in May online from Cummins PowerStore at www.powerstore. cummins.com or at any Cummins dealer/distributor.
Cummins QuickCheck software is compatible with all popular Palm handheld
devices. For information on Palm handheld devices, contact 3Com(R) at (847)

Cummins Engine Co. Inc. , headquartered in Columbus, Ind. , is the world's largest
producer of diesel engines above 200 horsepower. The company provides products
and services for customers in markets worldwide for engines, power generation
and filtration. Cummins reported record sales of $6. 6 billion in 1999.
