Diesel Fume Smell Cummins vs. Competition

K&N filter problem

I know I'm not the only one who has done this, but I got to use the truck in place of the tractor today. We fertilized the pastures today and the only buggy left at the elevator this morning was one with it's own motor. So instead of sitting on the old tractor I decided to just use the truck to do the job, had a blast doing it. So I thought I would share... LOL :D

My truck is heavier than my biggest tractor so I always pull big gravity and hay wagons down the steep hills with my truck, it handles them much better in 4lo with exhaust brake on than the tractors. It rides better and it has A/C too.

A farmer that I worked for when I was 16 had a Ford F-250 w/6. 9L diesel. Pulling a fertilizer buggy was one of its jobs. I never did it though. Was told it did great with it.

i always use my truck(s) as a tractor. Best one on the ranch! I really like the Case tractors that came with 5. 9 cummins diesels. We have 8 5. 9 cummins diesels on the ranch

Knew a date grower in Calif who used his 4wd Ram to pull a disc, worked great. Guy didn't even have need to own a tractor.

If I had a 540 PTO on mine, I could use it to unload my 320 bushel manure spreader. It's full and my big tractor is in the shop getting the air conditioning rebuilt.

I have heard of people doing that. Wouldn't be that hard.

Is there a grass cutter that can be towed.

For the last two years I've been thinking it would be nice to have a grass cutter that could be pulled. However, I don't know how you'd get the cutting blades spinning well enough? Don't they use something like that on golf courses?

Sure would be nice to make 10 or 15 foot sweeps!

Well did this thread turn into a monster garage episode?... LOL. . I think we need to email the discovery channel and tell them to give it to Jesse James for monster garage. Have them turn our Ram's into "tractors" so that we can have a PTO on the back so that I can literally eliminate my old tractor that sucks anyway. LOL

What ya think guys should we start emailing them. . LOL :D

Now that is one Monster Garage I'd LOVE to see! :D We just need to get some TDR members for his team  Any ideas as to what the paint job might come out like?

Stackd - find the email, and I'm sure you could get a bunch of us to send in a barrage.

Don't know if they have been made yet or not. However, the Amish do make or modify implements for their horsedrawn farming. I would say they would make you one if you located an Amish manufacturer.

PS. Just for thought here. They will sometimes use an implement with a gas Honda engine for hydraulic power or whatever but still pull it with horses. Depends on the sect.

The reel type mowers they use on golf courses are powered by the turning wheels, I've seen some gangs thirty feet wide. Only problem is they won't cut anything more than a couple inches high.

Ok guys what I did was go to http://discovery.infopop.net/1/OpenTopic?a=frm&s=6941912904&f=8511993295 and I guess you are supposed to post a thread on what you would like to see them do. However I was unable to find an email to directly contact them on the subject. Although I welcome anyone who might have better luck with it.

If the link doesnt work all I did was go to www.discoverychannel.com and click on fansites "monster garage" then finding the FAQ and there is a question about ideas for the show and it takes you to forum.
