Cummins Rebuild Kit

I do not intend on rebuilding my engine any time soon, she's still running strong as ever, but I have been looking into what is involved in a rebuild.



I sent an e-mail to Cummins Northwest and they said they need some number from above my fuel pump to give me a price on a kit. I don't have my truck, and I don't want to wait untill I go home to figure out how much it costs.



How much does the Cummins rebuild kit cost for our trucks? What are the major components to it?

They always seem to want the engine serial number, even for something as stupid as filters, at least up here in Anchorage. They should be able to get by with just the CPL number though--both the CPL and engine serial number are on the data plate mounted on the side of the gear case on the front of the engine.

looks perty close they are fedral mogal parts not cummins, but have not had any problems with them comes with gaskets rings bearings realy low cost way of reuild. cummins gets $350 out of just there ring set



they guy will piece a kit also if you dont need the pistions I thank it was around $450 with out them but I dont rember right now George

What is the difference between a "ring kit" and a "piston kit"???

ring kit I dont think comes with pistons just the rings
