I have been searching different swaps but can't find the answer to this one. I know someone on here probably has a post and has done it before. I am looking at a really nice club cab, 97, 2500, 5 speed, 4wd, v8 gasoline that is in excellent condition. 90,000 miles for cheap. I already have a 94 reg. cab 2wd with good engine, but the rest is rough. Obviously I would have to swap everything in the engine compartment. That wouldn't be that bad. I am having a hard time finding info on the gasser on the internet. My questions are:

1) I assume they have the same nv4500, If not I have an updated one to use but it is for 2wd? (use my clutch and bell housing?)

2)Will the engine mount up and clear the front differential?

3)I assume the suspension is lighter in the front, What will it take to make that work?

4)Is it the same diff. in front and back as in the diesel?

Who has done it, I know someone has?

Never done it with a12v, but the the 24v are a breeze, you need the springs from a diesel or a v10, fuel tank, and the dash out of the donor diesel
