Thanks, TDR Staff

flleetguard oil filter in bad shape, was NIW.

I'm sticking to CI-4+ engine oil

I was buying parts from Geno's to service my serpentine belt on my 06, from Geno's garage when I came to tensioners I thought to my self "I want the best I can buy" so I bought the most expensive tensioner the one from Cummins. I figured it was the original so it should be the toughest and it was the most expensive, by a lot over the Dayco. so I bought it and when I got the parts today I opened the box with the Cummins part # and all and guess what it says right on it as big as day yes Dayco I could of saved a ton of money and just bought the Dayco. Just thought you guys would like to know

There still might be a difference, the cheap ones are usually pot-metal with a plastic pulley, the good ones are all steel. Also the spring loaded tension assembly its-self, are not all created equal. Some are amazingly sophisticated if you disassemble them. I am an enquiring mind so I take stuff apart:-laf

Dayco makes them for Cummins. If you look at the Cummins one you will not only see "DAYCO" on it but the Cummins p/n. Shad
