Yeah, that is spendy considering the Flash EEPROM in the ECM only costs $16.





Mike how about we reprogram your old ECM to ignore the error codes that are sent to it by the VP44, get rid of the overboost fuel cutback and raise the RPM limit to 3950

It all depends how your truck is going to be set up. The only timing box I tried on my truck was a Van Aaken,and maybe the timing was too far advanced for my injectors because I got no additional power gain and it made my truck smoke like a freight train during normal 30mph cruising. WOT blacked out any road or traffic behind me. With smaller or stock injectors that VA is a great box. I would like to try out an EZ somtime to see if it does the same thing. If your after more power,then the Cummins ECM is not for you.

I think we can try out my old ECM,but I don't know if I'd want to put it back in... the difference in the low rpm torque and faster exhaust brake delay has made this ECM perfect.

I'm new to this, but on my 98. 5 can't I do the DTT VB,TC and put in an EZ for this price and end up with change for injectors?

Nope, from what I've read the HO actually has some different parts, including different pistons.
