The Chevy will be quieter, ride nicer and have more inside room. The Dodge will be allot easier to bomb if he does the work himself.

I am a chevy guy at heart, but let me just say that the chevy/gmc trucks are way more complicated to work on & way tighter under that hood to do any type of work. A guy will make his own choices & live with them & if he chooses the chevy..... you can say "I told you so" when he tries to service it. I can't believe that just 5 years ago... I was dragging a Dodge 4x4 down the road with my 77 chevy truck with a chain tied to my hitch yelling out the window "You can't hook a Dodge to a chevy or you'll look like this guy". Needless to say when looking for a new truck..... I had to have the Cummins engine & my Dodge has been great... . never thought I'd say that!

there isn't anyway I would recommend a particular brand of vehicle to a friend . trucks can get personal to a guy , just like some guys prefer blonde's . stick with what you like and let him pick his own truck. there's nothing wrong with people driving Chevy trucks . just try not to be too disappointed in their ability to make the correct choices, after all life is a road with many choices and there are smart choices and dumb choices . you get the idea:D :D :D

Unusual and refreshing that somebody can admit

that their favorite Brand X may not be the best. I don't think there is a more loyal group than pickup owners to their brands - sometimes just like Lemmings! :-laf

I know... . unbelieveable, but true. I used to drive Chevy trucks/cars & still own a 64 impala SS 409 car & my brother has a 72 chevelle SS 454 sitting in my garage, but we found out that the real muscle in the pickup class with the most reliability & grunt is definately a Cummins equipt Ram. I bought this truck only because of the cummins & then ended up loving the truck as a whole. I am now sticking to the Ram & not going back, but my classic cars still have bowties... . sorry. :-laf
