Answer on Cummins website

I found the answer on the Cummins website.

http://www.everytime.cummins.com/every/applications/ram_warranty.jsp

Every Dodge Ram 2500/3500 with the Cummins 600 Turbo Diesel engine comes with a 7-year/100,000-mile (160,935 km) warranty for first owners. You are also covered for 7 years/100,000 miles (160,935 km) if you are the second owner and have paid a transfer fee within 30 days of purchase.

Thank you for your input.

You are correct

That source was from the Cummins website. It did not specify which engine. Does anybody have a source on a per model year basis?

That's great for the 600hp owners... ..... Too bad for the rest of us.

Every cummins comes with that, you mean being able to transfer it? I dont know if we can do that. so besides transfering it what does a 600 have over any other cummins warranty wise?

Its very simple guys, dodge has the regular warranty, 3yrs or 36000 miles which ever you come to first.

On the Engine and engine only the warranty is 5yrs or 100,000 miles which ever comes first, there is no on past the 36000 dodge warranty which i think you maybe thinking which would be 136000... Your 100,000 mile warranty starts as soon as you drive it off the lot as does the regular 36000 bumper to bumper warranty.

If thats not what my manuals that come with the truck say i will eat them, and trust me i have read those things from cover to cover :-laf

Well i'll be, i was wrong guess the new 600 had 2yrs extended to the warranty, the way i read the second part of that is if you have paid that transfer fee within 30 days after becoming owner number 2 then you have the warranty originally givin to the first owner. (i was wrong so go ahead let me have it :-laf )

Its easy to understand, its trolls! Hey paying 35$ to troll might be a good deal for a years worht of entertainment. Look at how 3 of the posters have less than 20 post! COMBINED!!!!

I've read the Warranty Information Booklet that came with my model year 2000 Ram also (from cover to cover). Here is a picture of Section 2. 6 of the booklet. It looks like my engine warranty begins "at the end of the 3/36 Basic Warranty period. "

How about a picture of Section 2. 6 from your Warranty Information Booklet? :)
