Just filled it out, and was suprised to see that they asked about it's "Uprateability".

and like was said, First thing they asked was name, and city.

---

Thinking about it,, I don't recall being asked for an Address... hmm

Merrick Cummings Jr

Winners will be notified by e-mail.

If they had asked for a VIN, I would have had to have lied on a couple of answers. What, me paranoid?

Makes you wonder if they are going to either make it harder to uprate or easier.

Yea I noticed that too. It must be some kind of diesel info site.

Anyway I sent a Email to the Cummins site, pointing out the missing address line.

It says that everyone who fills out the survey will be sent a Cummins cab plate. Only one person will win the jacket.

link that i was sent to after clicking submit

Mmmm... it looks like the site is all Cummins. I wonder what is going on with the International logo? I wonder if Cummins is buying them? I heard Ford was thinking of buying International to get back into the heavy truck business.

But then Ford "owns" Cummins:D Right? That explains it!;)

If you noticed also toward the end of the survey, alot of questions were being asked like if the Cummins was not avaliable in the Ram would you have bought it followed by to what degree was the Cummins engine a key purchase decision for your Dodge truck.

Wonder if any of this info will be passed to Dodge, contract expires in three years right?

I noticed also that they didn't ask for the street address which makes the promise of a cab plate less than credible, but anyway, I have to ask what a cab plate is. Sorry, I don't believe that is street language, it must be a secret code for people who are much more immersed into the culture. (((((grin)))))

Anyway, if someone could explain, we would like to learn.

Thanks;)

A cab plate is simply a badge. So a badge, emblem, you could mount inside the cab of your truck.

My guess is it might by one like Cummins offers for sale:

when i get my 04, i want to put a pair of those decals on, but clean them up and paint them body color, and remove all the factory decals. put them up on the edge of a cowl hood. need to be close enough to read it and see it, but from afar, it'll look nice n clean

1. They didn't request a street address. Undoubtedly, they send the gizmo via email.

2. Yes, I think it is obvious that they are testing the water with reference to continuing with DC past their contractual commitment.

3. I encouraged them to build their own pickup as I would never touch anything DC without that Cummins engine.

4. Flip side is that DC will probably use a MB engine after the Cummins contract expires, thus never selling another HD pkup.

5. I made it clear that I wouldn't buy Dodge without Cummins.

6. I also made it clear that I don't recommend friends buy Dodge unless they really, really want a Cummins as the dealer here is a big fat zero for shop work.
