Cummins has built spark gas versions of the ISB (and other models) for many years. Among other applications, they're used for gas compressor drives, irrigation pump drives, etc. See HERE.

Some of the State vehicles have this set up in Missoula. I would like to know what is in the big box like deal behind the cab? They all have it.
 
I've seen many pumpjacks in the oilfield using these!! Some operate on casing-gas from the well itself and some are running off of propane.

I have yet to see a turbocharged one so far and most seem to be rated around 90hp in this application.

It "could" be a viable option in the future, however, it is unlikely to happen anytime soon!

Edit: They're super quiet and don't have a DPF!!!
