Can some manual transmission drivers help me on this one? I have a 2002 automatic truck (see sig) and recently had the entire dash apart un-installing some hardware from the previous owner and putting some of my own choices back in. I removed the center fold-down cupholder assembly. It had been scratched by the previous owner so I ordered the Mopar interior trim paint from Geno's. Long story short, it didn't match the truck (Geno's was totally stand-up about the situation). I'm not sure what happened - off day at the assembly plant, off day at the paint manufacturer, who knows?

Here's the actual question - what does Dodge put in this spot on manual transmission trucks? Is it still the same cupholders, just inoperable? If it is different does anyone have the part number? If it is just sort of a cover plate I figure it would be less expensive than a new cupholder assembly.

Yes, I know I can just go to a paint shop and get a custom match done but I wanted to explore this option as well.

Thanks for the input!

It's just a deep open storage area on trucks with manuals. If this gives you an idea of how large it is, I currently have my 300w inverter completely in there hidden from view with almost enough space side to side to fit a second one.

Yup, just a big cubbie hole for stashing receipts! I've seen the auto cup holders, and I would rather have the cubbie hole.

Dont worry about the paint you wont be able to match it unless you have a custom mix, I bought the dealer rattle can for my gauge pod and its close enough but I can tell the difference.

Thanks for all of the input!

Does anyone have a part number? I can call my local parts guy but I thought someone might know.

Thanks!
