Here is the bracket made from 1/8" plastic and glued with super glue. There is no wieght hanging on it and it works good.

No Steve. Not up there. I have some , I repeat, some cooth. I have a space for it between the shifter and the seat. I'm working on a tube and some type of clamp, for the attachment. Something like a flexable funnel. I could tell one story bout the wife at the race track and race traffic but it would be divorce time. I t was funny though.

I am with Ram_Kowboy, the cup holder in my truck is awesome. I wonder if it would fit in an older truck? That would solve the problems in the automatics.

When I absolutely have to transport my full 52oz Chevron cup I wrap a towel around the base and wedge it behind the folded down center console and the rear of the cab. I have the shelf adjusted perfectly so the cup is in reach if I need a gulp. Now I just need a transparent cup so I can see the road when I lift the cup to my face! This also worked with my sisters 52oz Big Gulp Bucket.
