Any know what the curb weight of an 05 Quad Cab 4wd Automatic CTD is? The Dodge site on "specifications" section has "not applicable" in those fields.

You don't mention your bed, so here's both:

2500 Quad 4x4 Cummins/automatic Laramie:

short bed - 7080

long bed - 7194

I don't think those are accurate #'s or maybe mine needs to go on a diet :-laf

My '05 2500 QC SB SLT w/auto and CTD crossed the scales at 6402 with about half a tank of fuel (no one in the truck).

If that's a 4x2, that's about right... DC says 6500 exactly, half a tank of diesel gone would reduce that.

scale must be way off or you have about 700 pounds of crap in your truck. a ford superduty shortbed cc 4x4 weighs 7400 pounds and dodge is about 400lbs lighter than that... ... ... ... ... ... ... .

We've been through this before but my '03 Quad Cab SB 4 X 4, 6 speed weighed 6940 lbs without the spare tire, jack, no tools, fuel warning light on, and of course no 240 lb. driver. California DMV requires a certified weight cert. to register an out of state truck and 7000 lbs. is a big cost break so the removal of any weight adding items was worth the effort.

Drop one of the batteries and maybe even tailgate :)
