i need the curb weight for my truck to get my plates,

i have a 95 long bed ext cab w/ an auto transmission

can anyone help me out?

Take it to a scale if you want exact weight for your truck. For GVWR, there should be a sticker either on the driver's door or on the cab near the driver's door latch.

According to my service manual the curb weight is 6,260 lbs. It's kind of strange that the DMV needs that from you. They should have that from your VIN.

Not muck in the truck at the weight! My 2001. 5 Std CAB 4x4 is at 7K when ready to back under the 5er. SNOKING

That's the official weight which is what the DMV wants. I have the same truck. It's never been that light since I've had it. Usually about 6700 or 6800 on the garbage dump scales after dumping.

I don't think the DMV is interested in what a scale says. They probably want the official number; ie. 6260.

yea, i didnt know they would need it. but i am getting commercial plates, so they wanted it, they also wanted to know the gvwr and how much weight i would typically carry in the truck
