After a very long week in the shop I had a very good day at the dyno. After having Chris at Relentless Diesel install his upgraded cp3 my truck gained 87 horsepower at rear wheels, bringing my new hp to 664. This was done on a dynojet and that is with no correction factor. The modification is still in the test phase(there might still be more to had)we have more testing to do. Ive been driving it for a few days and have had no bad effects, temps stayed about where they used to be and it does smoke more but only on higher levels. Anyone interested can contact Relentless Diesel at 936-856-3121 or at www.relentlessdiesel.com.

Nice! It is great to see modded CP3s coming along. I know there are more people working on them, but you sure don't hear much about "how" and the results. That is a decent gain. Has Chris talked about the projected price range for his pump?

I do not know about the pricing yet. I do know it is a fairly detailed mod,it is not just a bunch of drilled passages. We figured the only way to get more fuel was to either put new plungers and barrels or speed up the pump. So we remachined a new front gear case to relocate the cp3 and had a smaller gear cut for the cp3. The pump now spins faster(Chris knows the percentage) and there is also a few other places a little extra fuel was found. There might be more power to be had , the 87 hp i got was stil holding good rail pressure.

RC,

I am glad to hear the good news about how the modified CP3. Good luck at the track. I am going to Chris's place this weekend for some work on daily driver.
