Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Believe I have the right Supreme Court Justice?
With all of the stories and the previous thread about Martha Stuart being a small fry compared to Enron executives etc. and who should have been prosecuted by the government.
I have not seen much about Vice President Cheney and Justice Scalia's recent week long hunting trip together and Cheney having his appeals on keeping his (representing the Feds) and oil company officials meeting minutes from being opened up to the public, though an appeals is before the Supreme Court (been working its way through the Federal courts, now at the top). What little I have seen said that it is Cheney's role as V. P. overseeing meeting, not him personally meeting with a Justice, therefore not an issue!!!!
Amazing in that these are definitely BIG Fry and even the appearance of impropriety should have been avoided.
Guess you can be TOO BIG??????? Or has the press gone on to other issues until a ruling is made???
Does anyone know how/why a Supreme Court Justice can/is removed? Strictly by internal action within the Supreme Court, or does Congress get involved like an impeachment?
