My brother in law called today to make my jealous of his weather (texas) and his project car (old charger).
In the course of the conversation he talked about a truck he read about or saw on TV recently.

The topic was tractor pulls and the journalist was talking about a 700+hp CD RAM that was in the show.

Anyone?? I suspected Dave Mitchell, anyone know if his truck was in a mainstream TV show or magazine recently??

update:

I guess it was car and driver and the truck was in arizona.

Oops, too late. What silencer ring? (More fun than my 98 SST)

I know for a fact Mitchell is well over that mark, and I agree that he does keep a low profile but I don't blame him a bit. If my truck ran like that I'd keep my most important secrets to myself. He's put alot of hard work and thought into that truck and I hope it gets even better and he deffinately puts on a great show.

I know Dave Mitchell has put a lot into that truck but nothing below the cylinder head has been touched since Cummins bolted it together at the factory. As insanely as that motor has been boosted up, Loretta says nothing internally has ever given out or failed. . . still the stock motor. It has eaten a few turbos though #ad

Can Dave please respond about his truck? I am wondering how he did the 700 hp upgrade please give us some ideas for the ones who really want that power. I have heard of 550 hp bt not 700. Please respond and tell me what you did to come close to these numbers. Any pics would help.

Kyllo, it was an awesome trip. Read all about it on the Events forum "BOMB Party Success. " There were 28 or 29 trucks total! The roads were not very good but I handled them fine with my 2wd and some sand bags in back.

You got to join us for the Dyno Day event at BD on April 21, there will be some of us including Jim (CUMMINNTSTRKN), Big Bob, Papa Joe, coming over from the East side, so you can BOMBvoy with us. Keep an eye on the Events forum, there is already a post about the Dyno Day.
