Custom Cummins Tuning

Has anyone herd about EFI LIVE? Its a tool used off a laptop to completely remapthe ECM and PCM. I mean COMPLETELY! Does anyone know of any type of program that could do something like this for the Cummins? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Looks a bit interesting but I didn't see anything for a Cummins in a quick look. Looks more GM oriented right now. They're probably rather new.

The stuff seems great and all and I am sure it is fun but... ... As predicted they have not acheived any new horsepower levels that were not available prior to the release. The limits are the limits. To get more than 500 hp they still need spray turbos yadda yadda yadda. So... . what has it really gained them... ... ... ... .

I talked to them a while back and they said they would be working on it for the Hemi then later the cummins motors but GM products is what they mainly focus on so dont wait for it. Plus all the people on this forum seemed to be scared of it or a product like it that give you this much control, they were worried about causing damage by not being able to tune it correctly.

The smarty will only add about the same hp as an ez but will allow you a lot of choices on how much fueling and timing up to that point.

The smarty will automatically program pre-written software into your ECM, EFI live can let you do basically anything you want to do when it comes to fueling, timing, RPM (I think) boost, its alot of programming power but with the right tuning could be awesome.

my buddy just ordered the EFI Live for his D-max. He has a friend that has on '05 w/ just the EFI, CAI, and MBRP that is running in the 12's 1/4 mile. If that is true, then that is incredible.

I'll know if it true or not once my buddy gets his and installs it. We'll see if it is for real or not.

the smarty om the 04. 5 and up will add 170+ hp and removes torque management the right way. on the 03-04 the gain is 130+ and removes torque management the right way

you dont loose the dash functions and the street manners are awesome. Once you drive a truck with torque management removed there is no going back to stock.
