Custom overhead console ideas?

My passenger map light broke the other day and while trying to fix it, I thought about bombing the console. Has anyone removed the stock console and fabricated a custom console with lights, gauges, radio's, etc?

Funny as mine did too Yeay dodge build quality :-laf is all I do now. Anyways There has been a member here that did one up and it was sweet! I think it was a cb , comp box , and switch panel. it sure was sweet but he did mention that he spent a ton of time fabricating and developing ways to secure it as there are not so many clean options to use in terms of mounting up there.

I had one out. the headliner is cut out around it. kind of sucks for mounting too. I would use the base of the old one, build whatever you want into it. then felt it and glass it, and either paint it or material it. I think this would look cool. nice and molded.
