My cylinder head needed some machining and I decided that the shop should also cut some o-ring grooves while they're at it. I gave 'm the wire(. 041) that I'm gonna install and they cut the grooves. I also gave 'm the depth I need.

How should the wire fit in the groove, should I be able to tap it in so that it's 'jammed' in the groove(groove smaller then wire) or should it fit loose (groove same size as wire)??

Reason for asking is that I think the shop maybe messed up since the wire is loose and I can't really install that way... .

Thanks for any advice!

Cheers.
