I've been thinking about putting rear mud flaps on my D250. They make flaps the right size, but did Dodge make a bracket to hold them. If not, anyone got any ideas on how to mount them? Thanks.

A common place to mount them is on the outside edges of your receiver hitch frame, if you have one.
I have a tendency to rip mud flaps off in the hills, so I made a full width set that slide right into my hitch so I can protect my trailers from rocks and mud, and they can be taken off in seconds when I drop the trailers.

I use 18" mud flaps available from any of your favourite Rig vendor (Mack??) #ad
. My hitch didn't have an area to bolt to so I installed two separate pieces of angle iron from the bumper bracket to the outer fender lip. It's hard to explain, but from the brackets that hold the bumper near where they bolt to the frame and the underside of the box fender is about the same height. Using 5/16" shaft bolts(1/2" head) you can bolt them up. So far I have had them on for about 5 years and just changed the rubber last night!! So,its funny to see this today!!
I can get the dimensions or just send you some digital photos if you wish. I think that the photos would explain it better.
Email me if you are interested. #ad
Or I will watch here to see if you want the photos.

Funny, I was talking to a hitch shop today, and we also were looking at the mud flaps that were on my truck when I bought it. The flaps will have to go to get the hitch to fit, but that is not my major concern the belly bar for my camper is!
Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions as to how to do the install so as to have both the belly bar and a hitch? Both need to mount to the frame at the same location.
Thanks.
Doug

The angle irons I installed butt up against but do not attach to the hitch brackets and may be far enough ahead to allow the belly bar to go behind them... #ad
Just a thought.
