A limited number of 2500 and 3500 Ram Heavy Duties with WGD (17 X 8 Forged

Aluminum Wheel) were changed to WGS (17 X 8 Steel Chrome Clad Wheel).

Tracking code 5P6 was added. (2/23/05)

If I ordered Aluminum rims and got chrome I'd be P-O'd!

Tom, now that you have had the G56 a few more days, any more in depth, hands on reviews?

Honestly I have not got a chance to really drive one For an extended period, But i have noted that the engagment of this clutch is quite fast, others have noticed it too...

Then again, it could be because it was a truck with ony 3 miles on it... After 100 miles, could be different

Looks like I beat the 2/15 price increase... my deal is in writing, but those who aren't formally locked in could be surprised.

Does anyone know the rebates for this month?

bad news ---- Rebates on all diesels are lowered to $1000 regional, and $1000 for chrysler financial bonus (but the gass'ers rebate went up $500)

Down from $1500+$1000 (evidently those cummins are selling TOO well)

Those who have deposits down already will be protected for 5 days after truck is on lot...

Its a sad day in "TOMCHANEY"-ville :(

Will i be eligible for the price increase? i ordered mine on 12/23/04 and was built around the last week of jan. 05. Thanks

i am not sure what you mean... . Customers are not the ones "eligible" -- The trucks that are built after such a date (mid-feb) will have a $300 more expensive price... And if the truck is ordered before that increase, the selling dealer should take care of the "price-protecting" the old price

make sense?

I agree with Tom here - a quality dealer will agree to the figures in wiriting and honor it. My dealer locked in both the price and the $1500 rebate in writing (order written Jan 15). Ironically, based on how much I'm putting down plus the trade value of the 96, If I go with 3. 9% and the $1000 CFC, it would result in the same monthly payment as the $1500 rebate, the $1000 CFC bonus, and a 6% APR, so I can go either way if I want. I expect the "Devil With The Blue Dress On" to arrive any day now.

Are the CTD's really selling that well with the outrageous price of fuel? Doc

Tomeygun... Are you saying that if you ordered a truck before the increase, put a deposit down, the deal was accepted by Dodge, and you're waiting for delivery, it's up to the selling dealer to give you the original price when you ordered? If it's up to my dealer, why should I expect him to make up the $300???

Yes and no... Its the dealers JOB to make sure he price protects the vehicle - So yes, you should get the price you agreed to, But I have heard of a few dealers that would try and get the customer to pay the increase and then get DODGE to reimburse for the increase too, Effectively double dipping

Ultimately, dodge will pay the $300 (with proper documentation), but it is up to the dealer to arrange the payment, if they do not, Then they lose that money - Certainly it should not be the customers fault. the customer should never have to pay the increase

Well, we will just have to wait and see... My order from the dealer has three comments on the order sheet. 1: "Suject to order. " 2: "Suject to price. " 3: "Rebate subject to change. " It was my understanding that as long as I pick up the truck within 5 days of dealer delivery, I would get all the rebates and price as ordered... Now I'm beginning to wonder if I'm going to get the run around at the dealer when I pick up the truck...

The only value on my order that is subject to adjustment is my trade value only because I drive 400-500 miles a week, and if the order took 3 months, it would make a definite difference. The selling price and rebate are locked in writing - the rebate can only increase, not decrease. If your order says "subject to price", that means the dealer can/likely will impose any factory increases on you.

I'm getting my 05 from the same dealer and sales rep as my 96. There was a price increase during my 96 order, but the price I was promised on the order form was the price I paid three months later when the truck arrived. The only time a good dealer will make a price subject to adjustment is when a customer orders the next model year vehicle before the prices are announced, and even then, they'll try to make something as concrete as possible (x-percent over/under invoice, $xxx over/under invoice, etc. ).
