A while back I wrote a topic about my local dealer not being able to validate an ailing lift pump (Chrysler Certified Technician working for Regal Dodge couldn't figure out that it was a diesel). As a result, I ordered one directly from Cummins with the following price breakout:
lift pump: $145. 00
Power Booster Club (1-YR) entitled 10% discount: $20. 00
Premium Shipping: $18. 97
Tax: $13. 28
GRAND TOTAL: $198. 20
Being so upset that I kept my engine completely stock as to not void my warrantee, I wrote a detailed letter about the service that I received and was quite surprised at the results! Not only did I received a phone call with a complete apology, but I also received a rapid reimbursement check for ALL the above. Furthermore, if I have any further problems with my truck, I was given a point of contact that will "personally assist" in resolving the situation. I just wanted to pass on to those that might be in my same situation the correct address:
Daimler-Chrysler Customer Center
P. O. Box 21-8004
Auburn Hills, MI 48321-8004
Attention: ANYONE WHO GIVES A DAMN
Good luck!
