It Was The Gauge And The Sending Unit Thats It On Bracket How The Hell Do Tou Mount This Thing

And Whats A Snuber Plus I Need Line

Here We Go Again

DD fp gauge

My DD gauge just came this week and will be replacing my p. o. s. Cyberbyne digital gauge.

I made a bracket using a 3" wide "L" shaped piece of metal and hose clamp. lay the sender in the bracket and make a mark on each leg of the bracket behind the sender. this is where you need to cut a slots for the hose clamp to go through. the hose clamp will go around the sender, through one leg of bracket, around the back of bracket, and back through other slot. kind of hard to explain if you dont get the idea try drawing an "L"and put a "O" in its 90 deg. inside corner. if you still dont understand what I did I can try to get a pic.

the pressure snubber may take some doing. got mine from work. A store that deals in HVAC may have one, some people use needle valves. As far as connection tubing I used AC charge hose, it hooks right up to vp44 or fuel filter, and fits the sending unit also.

yesssss, or a pipe hanger or something like that. Man, I did a lot of work making that stupid bracket when it could have been so simple.

For the sender I used a conduit clamp attached to a home made bracket, (see my readers rigs for picture). I didn't use a snubber because I hooked into the bottom of the fuel filter with about two feet of fuel line between the sender and filter, (some guys use 18"grease gun hose). The fuel line seems to absorb the pressure pulses. I got the fuel line from West Marine because it was Diesel rated but most auto parts stores carry it. Has worked fine for over three years.

For the guage I used a Donut mount from Genos. I mounted it at the bottom of the dash, down by the throttle pedal. Here's the link:

Good Luck

I use a premade hose from genos with a schrader fitting on one end that goes on the VP44 and the sender I put a ziptie on it, and then a 3/4 hose clamp to keep it from sliding off, and then another ziptie to hold it onto (whatever is convienent).

Make a note, when going thru the firewall, I pulled the grommet for the main wire harness, then found out you cant reattach it, but the plastic piece the grommet is attached to pops right out from inside real easy. don't make the same mistake, the cab noise is now 30% higher.
