I'm thinking that it's about due time that I install a fuel pressure guage in my '99.

I'm thinking of going the Dakota digital route - but have a few questions:

1) Does this sender unit just screw into one of the fittings on the fuel filter canister on my '99?

2) When you buy the guage, I've heard that you still need to figure out on your own a snubber system. Is this true? If so, whatawn's the best and cheapest solutiont there?

3) How long roughly does an install take?

Thanks,

Shawn

1) I believe it screws into the filter housing on your truck, you wont need a snubber.

2) about 30 minutes (depending on beer intake)

Mine is an 01, so a different filter system I think, but worst case, I used the hose from Geno's that acts as a snubber of sorts, screws onto the VP. 18 bucks.

install was like 15 minutes, and most of that was figuring out where to secure the sender.

By the by, I love the Dakota gauge. easy to read. looks great.

Now have the FP and EGT in, and will get their tire pressure / temp gauge when I have the cash.
