Ram air works on a turbocharged engine because a compressor deals in pressure ratio - higher pressure on the inlet of the compressor wheel = higher pressure at the outlet.

Doug - do you have any data regarding temperature drop thru the ram air/aftercooler duct heat exchanger? I must admit, I'm a wee bit skeptical of any claimed performance benefit from this.

I don,t like to make claims about EGT. or H. P. there are people out there that have my hoods that say they have seen 150 to 250 less EGT. I believe it all has to do with the performance upgrades that have been done to the truck. If you have alot of performance upgrades more air is a must. There is some tests that support 40 H. P. gains at 80 mph. with the hood.
