Can someone tell me if the gasser 2500 4x4 uses the same

Dana 60 as the Diesel.

I have the chance to pick up front and rear complete carriers with 410's cheap.

Thanks,

TC

AFAIK, they are exactly the same. I would make sure I got one from the same year to eliminate CAD issues of switching from one to the other...

BTW-- The current Dana 60 on our front ends is not quite as beefy as the old Dana 60 used behind Hemis back in the day..... But it's still plenty strong. . Especially when compared to the GM IFS!

Just an observation. The gassers have a different rear (the v10's might be the same ? ) Your truck has a 70 rear and the gassers have a 60 rear.

What cooker said, the V8 gasser has a D60 rear. The V10 uses the same rear as the cummins. Also beware that from 94-97 Dodge made a 7500GVWR 2500 LD pickup with 8 lug wheels, you could only get a 360V8 in it. The front axle on these models is a Dana 44,but it has 8 lug wheels. It will bolt right in place, but it only has a 3850lb GAWR. The rear on these trucks was a dana 60.

For the record (no offense to Snow man) there were a few 2500LD's with 318's - I had the displeasure of owning a '94. I've heard rumour that some of these 2500LD trucks had 8-lug 9. 25 axles as well, not sure if that's true or not.
